Your HW assignment due Wed 2/27 is to create four paragraphs on your Web account for the blue benefit book that answers these four questions

the document needs to be at the bottom of storefront.htm using the P command to separate the four paragraphs

1. Paragraph one: tell about your storefront career and your history here.
2. Paragraph two: what was great about the experience? what was difficult? what did you learn? what was your biggest challenge here?
3. Paragraph three: what you are looking forwward to in high school and beyond? what are some of the goals you have for the next 5-10-15 years?
4. Paragraph four: closing paragraph; what you want to wish to younger classmates and to students who will become graduates over the next 5-10 years

Leadership: with privilege comes responsibilty

DRA had the idea that maybe we could call this new system The Net or Da Net or The Mac or D/Mils or ChildrensNet or CSNet

• Privilege of taking laptops to the porch during recess
  Potential problems: someone drops a laptop, someone throws a ball from the street and it hits a laptop, someone is pushing and a laptop is knocked to the ground
  Consequence if problems happen: if laptop is DROPPED, then 2 weeks of no labtop usage outside. if the labtop is BROKEN then 1 month of no laptop usage outside with 1 month of community service.

  Potential problems: someone uses someone else's login or password
  Consequence if problems happen: the first time it happens, you should lose the privilege of having an e-mail account for 1 month; the second time, you get detention (SAB)

  Potential problems: someone posts a student name or personal info
• What if someone sends e-mail or posts on a Web page something with inappropriate language or something mean-spirited or hurtful?
  Usually if someone curses or uses derogatory language, we give a detention. If a student uses language that is racist, anti-Semitic or homophobic (especially repeatedly), that student could be suspended depending on the severity. Using hurtful language can lead to suspension.

  Potential problems: someone forgets to return it to the lab

• Privilege of using a desktop computer in the Computer Lab
  Potential problems: someone does not follow the rule about "what is okay to do" vs "what is NOT okay to do"
  Consequence if problems happen:If you do not listen to the rules of the computer lab, then you lose your privileges to the computer lab for a week. (CAC)
